Fabula de Aesop
Era vară. Soarele strălucea și era cald afară. Furnica lucra din greu în fiecare zi. Culegea mâncare și o ducea în căsuța ei.
Greierele nu lucra. Cânta, dansa și se bucura de vremea frumoasă. El râdea de furnică:
— De ce muncești atât de mult? Este vară! Hai să ne distrăm!
Furnica a spus:
— Eu muncesc acum ca să am mâncare iarna. Tu ar trebui să faci la fel.
Dar greierele nu a ascultat.
A venit iarna. Era frig și zăpadă peste tot. Greierele nu avea nimic de mâncare. El era flămând și trist.
Atunci, a mers la furnică și a spus:
— Te rog, poți să-mi dai puțină mâncare?
Furnica a spus:
— Vara ai cântat și ai dansat. Acum, iarna, trebuie să înveți o lecție importantă: cine muncește, trăiește bine.
Morala:
Muncește la timp, ca să nu suferi mai târziu.

— I work now so I have food in the winter. You should do the same.
But the grasshopper didn’t listen.
Winter came. It was cold and snow was everywhere.
The grasshopper had no food. He was hungry and sad.
He went to the ant and said:
— Please, can you give me some food?
The ant said:
— In summer, you sang and danced. Now, in winter, you must learn an important lesson: Those who work hard live well.

Work at the right time so you don’t suffer later.
